Upgrading to the Accelerate Plan
Go to your Business settings by selecting your business name in the top right corner of your screen (mobile app) or from the menu on the left of your screen (web app).
Select the Plans tile/widget.
Select the Compare your plan link in the tile/widget at the top of your screen.
When the pop-up appears, you'll see an overview of your current plan – Original or Core. Select the grey Accelerate tile/widget at the top of the screen.
Explore the many benefits and cost-saving features of the Accelerate Plan, and compare it with your current plan.
Scroll down and select the View full plan comparison button to view a comprehensive comparison of your current plan and the Accelerate Plan.
Scroll back up to the top of the pop-up and select the Upgrade to Accelerate button in the blue banner.
When the new screen opens, you'll see a breakdown of the Accelerate Plan, including your start date, billing method, connectivity and transaction fee, and monthly subscription. Select the Upgrade to Accelerate button at the bottom of the pop-up to complete your plan upgrade.
A message will appear on your screen confirming your upgrade to the Accelerate Plan. Select the Explore Accelerate button to find out more about the plan.

Downgrading from the Accelerate Plan
If you’ve upgraded from the Core Plan or the Original Plan to the Accelerate Plan, and you decide that the Core Plan is a better fit for your business, you can downgrade any time you like via the Yoco App (mobile or web).

Please note: It's not possible to downgrade to the Original Plan if you were on the Core Plan to start.
Go to your Business settings by selecting your business name in the top right corner of your screen (mobile app) or from the menu on the left of your screen (web app).
Select the Plans tile/widget.
When the tile/widget opens up, select Compare your plan in the blue tile/widget.
Select the Core tab at the top of the pop-up.
A breakdown of the Core Plan and its related fees will now appear. Select the Downgrade to Core button if you want to proceed with the downgrade.
Choose a reason for your decision to downgrade, then select the Continue button.
A pop-up will appear that includes the date your downgrade will take effect, as well as a list of fees for the Core Plan. Select the Confirm downgrade button to continue with your downgrade.
A message will confirm that you've been downgraded to the Core Plan.
Accelerate Plan fees
Accelerate Plan fees include transaction fees (see the table below) and a monthly subscription fee that unlocks the tools you need to grow your business and see it thrive.
Transaction fees
Transaction fees are applied as a percentage of each transaction you process with Yoco and are worked out based on your transaction volumes. In line with industry standards, transaction fees are referred to excluding VAT.

VAT on transaction fees
We're required by law to charge 15% VAT on all transaction fees. For example, if you make a sale for R100 with a transaction fee of 1.95% (ex. VAT):
Yoco fees (1.95% ex. VAT) = R1.95
VAT (15%) = 0.29
Total fee (incl. VAT) = R2.24
Payout total = R97.76
If you’re registered for VAT, you can claim this back from SARS.

Subscription fee
Your monthly Accelerate Plan subscription fee of R499 (incl. VAT) is deducted from your payouts.
Your first month’ subscription fee is free – the second month’s fee will be deducted from your first payout the following month (the subscription fee is paid in advance, not arrears). For example, if you upgrade on 1 September, your first monthly subscription fee will be free, and the second will be deducted from your first payout in October.
If you sign-up after the first of the month, your subscription fee will be pro-rated. For example, if you sign up on 15 September, your first monthly subscription fee will be free, and the second (for the period 15–31 October will be deducted from your payout on 1 October).
✨ Once you’ve paid your subscription fee and your balance exceeds the minimum payout amount of R50, you’ll receive your first payout for the month.

Can I change back to my previous plan after I’ve upgraded to the Accelerate Plan? If you upgrade to the Accelerate Plan from the Core Plan, you can change back to the Core Plan any time you like. If you upgrade to the Accelerate Plan from the Original Plan and then decide that the Accelerate Plan isn’t the right fit for your business, you can downgrade to the Core Plan in the Yoco App (mobile or web). If you want to revert back to the Original Plan, please contact Yoco Support via our in-app chat.
Do I still get a full month’s subscription free if I sign up mid-month? Absolutely! If you sign up on 15 August 2025, for example, you'll only start paying your monthly subscription fee from 15 September 2025.
