Never lose track of what's in stock again. With Stock Tracking you get a real-time view of your inventory and automatic alerts when stock is running low, so you always know when it's time to reorder. Plus, you can import and export your stock list to update stock levels in bulk.
💡 Good to know: Stock tracking is available on all Yoco Plans.
If you have multiple stores or selling spaces, you can set up locations in the Yoco App (mobile or web) and track your stock per location.
Setting up stock tracking
❗Important: Before you can set up stock tracking, you need to create your product catalogue by adding your products to the Yoco App (mobile or web).
Once your product catalogue is in place, you're ready to:
1. Set your stock levels
Go to the Manage tab.
Select the Stock tile/widget.
Select the product you want to set a stock level for by tapping or clicking on it.
When the side screen pops up, select the Record stock button.
Select the Received stock or Stock count option (depending on whether stock has been delivered, or you've counted your current stock), and enter the number to set your stock count.
💡 Good to know: Every time there's movement in your stock, e.g. a delivery, a stock count, wastage, or a transfer between stores, you can record it. Find out more about recording stock movements per product – free on the Core, Plus, and Pro Plans.
Select the Record button to set your stock level.
2. Set up stock alerts
With your stock levels set, it's time to move on to setting your stock alerts.
Go to the Manage tab.
Select the Products tile/widget.
Select the product you want to set a stock alert for by tapping or clicking on it.
When the pop-up appears, select the Edit button.
Scroll down to the Track stock tile and choose how you'd like to track stock:
By product total

Enter a product code (SKU), or use the one generated automatically.
In the Stock alert field, enter the stock level that should trigger an alert.
By variant total
Select the blue Save button.
💡 Good to know: You can follow the same steps outlined above to update your stock alert level any time you like.

Go to the Manage tab.
Select the Stock tile/widget.
Select the Export button.
Select your preferred file type (CSV or Excel) in the pop-up, then select the blue Export button.
Once the download is complete, open the file in Excel (if you're using Microsoft Office) or import the Excel or CSV file into Google Sheets.
In the Movement Type column, enter one of the options below.
Set – If your stock for a product is currently at 10, for example, and you want it to be 15, type ‘set’ in the Movement Type column and enter 15 under the Quantity column.
Add – If your stock for a product is currently 10, for example, and you want to increase it by 2 items, type ‘add’ in the Movement Type column and enter 2 under the Quantity column.
Remove – If your stock for a product is currently 10, for example, and you want to decrease it by 2 items, type ‘remove’ in the Movement Type column and enter 2 under the Quantity column.
Download the updated file as an Excel spreadsheet or CSV file.
Go to the Manage tab in the Yoco App (mobile or web).
Select the Stock tile/widget.
Select the Import button.
Select the Upload button.
Locate the updated stock list on your device and choose the Open button.
When the selected file appears in the grey block, select the Upload file button.
If the file has been successfully imported, a message will appear on your screen confirming that your stock has been successfully updated. The updated stock levels will reflect in your stock list.
