Yoco Counter: Setup Guide

About Yoco Counter and the Point of Sale App

Welcome to Yoco Counter! Here’s what you need to know for a smooth checkout and payments experience:

  1. Yoco Mobile/Web App: This is where you manage your product catalog, staff access, and business profile. You can use it on compatible mobile devices (download for Android or iOS) or via the web at app.yoco.com. It’s designed for business owners and administrators; your staff won’t need access.

    • Learn more about the Yoco App here →

  2. Yoco Point of Sale (POS): Your staff will use this on the Yoco Counter to manage sales and orders. Staff profiles and product catalogs are created in the Yoco App, while sales are made on the POS. Your product catalog will be displayed on the POS, and any updates should be done in the App.

  3. Yoco Neo Touch: This is your card machine for fast card payments. It displays your business logo when idle and comes with a compact charging cradle.

Note: Make sure you've completed your Yoco profile verification before beginning with the countertop setup steps.

Set up your Yoco Counter

Step 1: Install Yoco Counter and Neo Touch (cradle) on your countertop

  1. Position your Yoco Counter and Neo Touch cradle on the countertop for easy access by staff and customers.

💡Tip: Your Yoco Counter screen should be facing your staff who will be making sales, whereas the Neo Touch screen should be positioned to face your customers.

  2. Plug the power cables into both devices, plug the Neo Touch cradle into the Yoco Counter, and then plug Yoco Counter into a surge-protected outlet.

Note: Use extension cables if outlets are not nearby.

Ports:

  • Micro USB-C Port: For fast charging and data transfer

  • USB Type-A Port: Connect up to two peripheral devices, such as printers or scanners.

  • RJ45 LAN Port: For a stable, wired network connection

Step 2: Switch on Neo Touch, log in and connect to WiFi

Power up and log in to your Neo Touch! Enter your email or phone number and your signup password, then tap "Log in."

Need help? Tap "Forgot your password?" for a reset link sent to your email or phone. Make sure to use the same signup details. Or, chat with us here.

Connect to WiFi:

  1. Go to the Neo Touch home screen.

  2. Tap the cog icon in the top left.

  3. Connect your Neo Touch to the same WiFi network as your tablet.

Step 3: Start up Yoco Counter and connect to WiFi

💡For optimal performance, ensure a strong WiFi connection for your Yoco Counter.

  1. Turn on your Counter (button at the top right).

  2. Let it connect to the nearest network, or tap Choose another Wi-Fi or network to access Network settings.

  3. Select Internet (Networks available), choose your WiFi, and enter the password if needed.

  4. It may take a moment to download updates before logging in.

Having trouble with WiFi? You need a strong, stable connection for the Yoco Counter. In the meantime, you can use a WiFi hotspot from another device (with a SIM), insert your own SIM into the Yoco Counter, or connect your Yoco Counter directly to the WiFi router with a LAN cable.

Step 4: Log in and pair Counter POS with your Neo Touch

Log in to the Yoco POS App on your Counter using the username (email or mobile number) and password from your Yoco profile signup.
