Before you start connecting your Yoco Printer, make sure that your Yoco Counter or your tablet or mobile phone running the Yoco POS App (and your workspace) are ready for a smooth setup.
Check that your printer is positioned near a power outlet, and within a few metres of your POS system.
Check that the Yoco POS App is installed – if you’re connecting the printer to Yoco Counter, the POS App is pre-installed on the device.

How to link your Printer with the Yoco POS App
1. Log in to the Yoco POS App
Whether you’re connecting your Yoco Printer to Yoco Counter or a mobile phone or tablet running the Yoco POS App, follow these steps to get started.
Log in to the Yoco POS App by entering your username (email address or phone number) and the password you created for your Yoco profile.
Select the More tab.
Tap the Printers tile/widget.
Select the blue Add printer button.
2. Switch on your Yoco printer
You’ll now be directed (in the POS App) to power on your Yoco Printer. When you’ve completed the steps below, tap the Next button on your screen.
Connect the two power cables together, plug in the printer, and turn it on.
When your printer plays a tune and you see a green light, it’s ready.
💡 Top tips
Make sure that the flat side of the power cable faces downwards.
Use the volume control buttons to adjust alert sounds.
3. Load the paper
You’ll be directed (in the POS App) to load paper in your Yoco Printer. When you’ve completed the steps below, tap the Next button on your screen.
Open the printer cover and insert the paper roll with the paper feeding in from the bottom.
Close the cover securely.
The red light will turn green when the paper is properly loaded.
4. Choose how to connect your Yoco Printer
Select the connection type you will be using to connect your printer:
Connecting via Bluetooth?
Ensure that the printer and POS are within 10 metres of each other.
Select your printer, then tap the Next button.
Select the blue Pair printer button to connect your Yoco Printer with your POS device.
Tap the blue OK button to pair your printer with your POS device.
Connecting via USB?
Connect the USB cable from the back of the printer to your POS device as shown in the image on your screen.
Tap the blue Connect button.
Tap the blue OK button to connect your printer with your POS device.
5. Choose the settings for your Yoco Printer
Add a name for your printer, e.g. Countertop Printer, Bar Printer, Kitchen Printer (this is optional).
Toggle the button to activate automatic printing for Bills & Receipts or Order slips, or both.
Tap the blue Save button.
Your printer is now connected! 🎉
Tap the blue Print button to print a test receipt.

✨ If your printer fails to print an order slip, you’ll get a notification in the Yoco POS App along with instructions on how to fix the issue. A list of failed prints will also appear on your Counter or on your tablet running the Yoco POS App.
How to manage the Yoco Printer
Once your printer is connected, you can change and/or reconnect it via the Printers tile/widget.
Changing printers
Need to remove your printer and connect a new one? Follow these steps:
Select the More tab.
Tap the Printers tile/widget.
Select the Delete icon next to the connected printer.
Select Confirm when prompted.
Follow the printer setup steps to connect a new printer.
Reconnecting your printer
If your printer disconnects, start by checking that it’s plugged in and turned on, then follow these steps:
Select the More tab.
Tap the Printers tile/widget.
Tap the Reconnect button.
