Setting up the Neo Touch Screensaver

Adding your logo or a branded image to your favourite card machine is a quick and impactful way to personalise the checkout experience for your customers. And, because the screensaver only displays when your Neo Touch is idle, it won’t have any impact on the speed at which payments are processed, or the overall performance of your device.

Which image formats are supported?

You can upload any JPEG, PNG, or GIF file. Keep in mind though that large or complex GIFs may increase the time it takes for the screensaver to load and may not display smoothly.

What image size is best?

The recommended image size is 480×480 pixels – anything bigger or smaller could be cropped or distorted, or display incorrectly.

💡Good to know: If you’re using a transparent PNG or GIF, you’ll need to add a hex colour code when you’re uploading your screensaver. The colour you choose will appear behind your chosen image.

What the hex? If you’ve never heard of a hex code, don’t worry! You can pick any colour you like using this hex colour wheel. Then, simply copy the code for the colour you’ve chosen, and paste it in the space provided in the Yoco App (mobile or web) when you upload your screensaver.


How to upload the Neo Touch screensaver

✔️ By ticking the ‘Apply to all Neo Touch devices’ box, you can push one image to all your Neo Touch card machines at once. Or, you can customise your Neo Touch devices one by one.

  1. Log in to the Yoco App (mobile or web).

  2. Open the Business settings page by tapping on your business name in the top right-hand corner of the Yoco Mobile App or clicking on it in the bottom left-hand corner of the Yoco Web App.

  3. Select the Card machines widget.

  4. Select one of your Neo Touch devices.

  5. Select the Set up button next to the Idle screen heading.

6. Select the black Upload button to select an image (JPEG, PNG, or GIF) from your device.

7. If your image is transparent, enter a hex colour code in the Background colour code field.

8. To upload the image to all your Neo Touch devices, tick the ‘Apply to all Neo Touch devices’ box.

9. Select the Save button to upload your screensaver to your device.


How to remove your Neo Touch Screensaver

  1. Log in to the Yoco App (mobile or web).

  2. Open the Business settings page by tapping on your business name in the top right-hand corner of the Yoco Mobile App or clicking on it in the bottom left-hand corner of the Yoco Web App.

  3. Select the Card machines tile.

  4. Select your Neo Touch device (or one of them if you have multiple devices).

  5. Select the Edit button next to the Idle screen heading.

  6. Select the red Delete button to remove the image from your device.

  7. To remove the image from all your Neo Touch devices, tick the ‘Apply to all Neo Touch devices’ box.

  8. Select the Save button.

💡Good to know: If you delete your screensaver image and don’t upload a new one, your Neo Touch will display the default screen.

✨ If your device is offline when you add or remove a screensaver, the changes will reflect as soon as the device is online again.


Troubleshooting the Neo Touch screensaver

If the image you’ve uploaded isn’t displaying correctly on your device, try the following:

  • Make sure that the file is in a supported format (JPEG, PNG, or GIF) and that it meets the size requirements (480x480 pixels).

  • Check your network connection – the screensaver only displays when your Neo Touch is connected. If your card machines loses connection or switches to an offline mode, it will display the default screen. As soon as the device reconnects, your screensaver will reappear.

  • If the issue persists, remove the image by following the steps below, then re-upload it.
