If your business operates across more than one store or selling space, Locations lets you manage each one separately, all from a single Yoco profile. Whether you're running a market stall alongside a bricks-and-mortar shop, or overseeing multiple franchise outlets, Locations gives you the control and visibility to run each part of your business the way you need to.
With Locations enabled on your account, you can:
Track sales and stock per location.
Assign staff to specific locations.
Choose which products, categories, brands, variants appear at each location.
Set different prices per location.
Switch devices between locations in real time.
View sales and reports for each location.
Locations works on any tablet or mobile phone running the Yoco POS App, and with the following Yoco devices:
Khumo/Khumo 2
Khumo Print/Khumo Print 2
Pricing
Locations is available on the Plus Plan (R249/month) and Pro Plan (R499/month). Your monthly subscription fee is based on the number of active locations on your account.
Examples
If you're on the Plus Plan and you have three active locations, your monthly fee will be R249 × 3 = R747/month.
If you're on the Pro Plan and you have five active locations, your monthly fee will be R499 × 5 = R2495/month.
💡 Good to know: There's no separate base fee, you only pay the per-location rate, so if you have one location, you'll be billed R249 on the Plus Plan, or R499 on the Pro Plan.
What counts as a location?
A location can be anything that represents a distinct selling point in your business, e.g. a store, a branch, a market stall, a franchise outlet, a mobile sales team, or any other operating unit you set up in your Yoco account. Setting up a location profile is free – it only counts toward your subscription once you activate it.
❗Important: Deleting a location is permanent and will remove the location immediately. If you want to stop paying for a location temporarily, deactivate it instead – you can always reactivate it later.
Billing
All subscription fees are billed upfront on the 1st of each month and auto-deducted from your Yoco payouts.
If you activate a new location partway through the month, you'll be charged a pro-rated amount for the remaining days.
Example
If you're on the Plus Plan (R249/location) and activate a new location on the 10th of a 30-day month, you’d pay R249 × (21 remaining days ÷ 30 days) = R174.30 immediately. From the 1st of next month, the full R249 applies.
💡 Good to know:
If you deactivate or delete a location mid-month, you won't be charged for it going forward, but you won't get a refund for the current billing period.
If you downgrade to the Core Plan, your location setup will be saved, but your sales won't be linked to a location until you upgrade again.
Free trial
The Plus Plan and Pro Plan both comes with a 30-day free trial (one per plan, per business) which covers all the locations you have active at the time you upgrade. So if you're on the Plus Plan with three locations and you upgrade to the Pro Plan, your free trial is worth R499 × 3 = R1,497.
❗ Important: Any new locations added after your trial has started won't be included, they'll be charged at the normal prorated rate from day one.
You won't qualify for a free trial if you:
Downgrade and then upgrade to the same plan again.
Reactivate a previously deactivated location.
