Neo Touch: Get ready to sell

Here’s everything you need to get started with your Neo Touch setup.

Updated over 2 months ago

There’s a new Yoco POS App, and an updated Yoco Mobile App to better run and manage your sales and business with Yoco! 🎉

If you're considering using the Yoco Neo Touch with the Yoco POS, you can now download the new POS App for free to streamline your sales.

The Yoco Mobile and Web App is still where you can manage your Yoco profile, products, staff, and settings.

Power up and log in

It's time to power up and log in to your Neo Touch to get started!

Enter your email or phone number, and the password you created during signup, and tap "Log in".

Struggling? Tap "Forgot your password?" to reset your password, with a link sent to your phone or email. You'll need to make sure you use the same details you used to sign up. Or, chat to us about it here.

Get connected

How to connect to WiFi

  1. Go to the Neo Touch home screen.

  2. Tap on the cog (settings) icon in the top left of the home screen.

  3. Click the "Network & internet" option.

  4. Toggle Wi-Fi on and select it.

  5. Select your Wi-Fi network and enter any passwords as necessary.

Choose your SIM

The Yoco Neo Touch comes with one free 4G SIM card with unlimited data (also free, for life) to use Yoco! 🙌

Your Neo Touch may or may not include a backup SIM in the SIM slot. If you start making sales on your Neo Touch and struggle with connectivity in your area, you probably have 2 SIMs and can switch to the backup SIM instead.

💡The data on your Yoco SIMs can only be used with Yoco, it's not possible to create a hotspot, and the SIMs won't work in another device.

How to swop SIMs (if you need to)

  1. Use the SIM slot tool included in the box to unlock and gently remove the SIM card tray on the right hand side of your Neo Touch.

  2. You'll find 2 SIM cards in the tray: Your active SIM on the right and the backup SIM on the left (inactive). Swop the SIM cards around, so that they're inserted in the opposite position.

  3. Slide the SIM card tray back into the card machine until it clicks into place.

If your Neo Touch did not come with a backup SIM, this means that the SIM card it comes with is able to roam across all networks for optimal connectivity (without the need for a backup).

Customise your Yoco receipts

Make your receipts your own by adding your contact details, slogan, trading hours, social media handles, logo, and more - here's how:

Step 1: Update your business details

Log in to the Yoco Mobile App or Yoco Web App here, and select your business name to open your Business Settings. Next, select the Receipt Settings tile, where you can edit or update your trading name, VAT number, default VAT % charge, phone number, and trading address.

Step 2: Polish your professional receipts

Select the Edit button to add or edit your Yoco receipt details.

Receipt details:

You can customise and use whichever of these options suits your needs - they're all optional extras to help you take advantage of the free advertising space and professional edge.

  1. Upload your logo in any image format from your device, and update your basic business details (like your VAT number, address and contact details) by editing your business details here.

  2. Choose your Receipt Type (Receipt or Tax Invoice) - Both will still show a VAT breakdown, but will have different headings.

  3. Add your Company Slogan - usually just one short sentence to describe your business' essence. It could also be your name, or anything else that you'd like to tell your customers in a short line.

  4. Enter a Receipt Footer - this can be absolutely anything and you have a little more room to work with: from opening hours, delivery details, latest specials and discounts, to extra contact details. You can update this as often as you like!

  5. Show your phone number? Choose whether or not you'd like your profile phone number to be shown on your receipts. It's automatically turned on, so if you don't want this, just click on the green toggle button.

  6. Social Media Handles: Add your Facebook, Twitter and Instagram handles to boost your social traffic.

Step 3: Preview your receipt

Make sure you're happy by taking a look at the final product! Your receipt preview is always available right at the top of your Receipt Settings page, simply select the Preview button to view it in full.

If you're not satisfied, you can simply hit the Edit receipt button to make adjustments.

Neo Touch on its own (without a POS)

Enable Sales Tools

Do you still take some cash payments? Would you like your customers to be able to tip you for great service? Have staff who could use a secure handover? The Yoco Neo Touch has the sales tools you need!

To activate them, press on sales tools from the home screen.

Here, you can switch on the toggle for Cash Sales, Tips and/or Staff switching.

When accepting payments on your Neo Touch, you'll now have the option to:

  1. Choose whether the payment is cash or card (if cash is enabled)

  2. Your customer will be asked if they'd like to add a tip (if tips are enabled)

  3. Your staff can switch users on the Neo Touch using their staff PIN or passwords (if staff switching is enabled).

Connect your Neo Touch to a Point of Sale

Get ready to connect using the cloud

Step 1: Make sure your card machine is linked to your Yoco profile
