Yoco supports an open ecosystem so you can connect the tools and services you already use like an online store, accounting software, or point-of-sale system.
When the two are integrated, they share information automatically, so you don't have to capture data twice or reconcile things manually.
This helps reduce operational friction, giving you more time to focus on running your business and less time on admin. For example, if you connect Yoco to your accounting software, your sales flow through directly, saving you time and reducing the risk of errors.
Merchants
If you've built your own tool or solution and want to connect it to Yoco, you can do it directly using our developer documentation or Yoco's MCP service.
Third-party developers
If you offer a product or service used by merchants and want to connect it to Yoco, you'll need to log an integration/partnership request.
💡 Good to know: We take merchant data and security very seriously. That’s why we vet and validate every request before approving it. If your application doesn't meet our minimum quality criteria, we may decline it.
Integrations vs partnerships
Not all connections to Yoco work the same way. The difference between an integration and a partnership comes down to scale, commercial agreements, and how your product meets our merchants’ business needs.
Integration
An integration is a technical connection to Yoco, built by a merchant or a third party on behalf of merchants. You can build your integration using the APIs and SDKs in our developer documentation. An integration on its own doesn't include a commercial agreement or a marketplace listing, though it may grow into a partnership based on data and performance.
💡 Good to know: Your application or service must to be live in the market (preferably with Yoco merchants) before we can move it to production. We also ask for merchant feedback as part of our quality checks.
Partnership
A partnership is an integration that's grown into a commercially structured relationship. This typically includes a listing on Yoco Connect (our integrations marketplace) and, in some cases, joint go-to-market activity. Some of our current partnerships include Lightspeed, Loyverse, Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix, Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, SalonBridge, and Bookem. Click here to view our current partnerships.
Not every integration becomes a partnership. Whether it does depends on the scale of your merchant base, the strength of merchant demand, and how well your offering fits Yoco's priorities. Generally, once you have 200 or more active merchants or subscribers, a partnership, commercial agreement, and Yoco Connect listing become available.
Every partnership starts as an integration, but not every integration becomes a partnership. If your merchant base on Yoco grows, we may reach out to discuss a deeper relationship.
Logging a request
Anyone is welcome to submit a request for an integration or partnership – software providers, POS solutions, hardware providers, or another type of business wanting to connect with Yoco.
You'll be asked for basic details about your business, your product, and what you're hoping to build or achieve with Yoco.
💡 Good to know: If you're an existing Yoco merchant looking to connect your own integration, you don't need to log a request. Head straight to our developer documentation and start building.
What happens after you submit a request?
Your request is logged as soon as you submit the form.
Our Partnerships team reviews it, looking at your product's fit for Yoco merchants, your current scale (how many active merchants or stores are using it), and how it aligns with our priorities.
You'll get an automated email from [email protected] with an update or next steps.
If your request qualifies for our partner programme, one of our Partner Managers will be in touch using the contact details you provided.
If you're below the partnership threshold, we still welcome your integration request (as long as it meets our quality criteria) and one of our integration experts will follow up.
Depending on the outcome, next steps could include guidance on integrating via our developer resources, a conversation about a Yoco Connect listing, or confirmation that we can't move forward right now.
If you're not yet at the scale for a full partnership, that doesn't mean the door is closed. We revisit requests from time to time as your business grows or our priorities shift.
✨ Got questions about an existing request? Reply to the confirmation email you received from [email protected] and our Partnerships team will get back to you.
