Managing Product Availability and Pricing by Location

Learn how to manage your product catalogue by location, hide unavailable items from staff, and set location-specific pricing to reduce mistakes and speed up checkout.

Locations gives you more control over how your product catalogue works across every store or selling space. Choose which products, categories, brands, and variants are available at each location, so your staff only see items that are actually sold there. Products that aren’t available at a specific location are automatically hidden from the POS sell screen.

You can also set different prices for the same product or variant at different locations. Prices update automatically whenever the active location changes, helping staff sell faster with fewer manual changes and pricing mistakes.


Setting product and variant availability by location


Please note: If you choose to make a product available at one or selected locations, any variants you've created for the product will also automatically be available in those locations. You can also remove specific variants from selected locations if they aren't being sold there.

  1. Log in to the Yoco App (mobile or web).

  2. Select the Manage tab.

  3. Select the Products tile/widget.

  4. Select the product you want to update.

  5. Select the pencil icon in the top right corner of the screen.

  6. Scroll down and select Locations.

  7. Set the available location(s) for the product.

  8. Toggle the Available at all future locations switch on if you want the product to automatically appear at any new locations you create in the future.

  9. Select the Confirm button – the location for the product will now be visible on the tile/widget.

  10. If you want the variants for this product to be available at the location(s) you've just chosen, select the Save button. If you want to remove any of the variants from your chosen locations, select the Variants tile/widget.

  11. Select the variant(s) you want to update.

  12. Select the Locations tile/widget on the screen for the variant you've selected.

  13. Set the available location(s) for the variant.

  14. Toggle the Available at all future locations switch on if you want the variant to automatically appear at any new locations you create in the future.

  15. Select the Confirm button – the location for the variant will now be visible.

  16. Select the Save button to apply your changes.


Setting category availability by location


  1. Log in to the Yoco App (mobile or web).

  2. Select the Manage tab.

  3. Select the Products tile/widget.

  4. Select the Categories tile/widget near the top of your screen.

  5. Select the category you want to update.

  6. Select the pencil icon in the top right corner of the screen.

  7. Select the Locations tile/widget.

  8. Set the available location(s) for the category.

  9. Toggle the Available at all future locations switch on if you want the category to automatically appear at any new locations you create in the future.

  10. Select the Confirm button – the location will now be visible on the tile/widget.

  11. Click the Save button to apply your changes.


Setting brand availability by location


  1. Log in to the Yoco App (mobile or web).

  2. Select the Manage tab.

  3. Select the Products tile/widget.

  4. Select the Brands tile/widget near the top of your screen.

  5. Select the brand you want to update.

  6. Select the pencil icon in the top right corner of the screen.

  7. Select the Locations tile/widget.

  8. Set the available location(s) for the brand.

  9. Toggle the Available at all future locations switch on if you want the category to automatically appear at any new locations you create in the future.

  10. Select the Confirm button – the location will now be visible on the tile/widget.

  11. Click the Save button to apply your changes.


Setting pricing by location


  1. Log in to the Yoco App (mobile or web).

  2. Select the Manage tab.

  3. Select the Products tile/widget.

  4. Select the product you want to update.

  5. Select the pencil icon in the top right corner of the screen.

  6. Select the three horizontal dots in the Price field and select the Add location override button when it appears on the screen.

  7. Enter the price for the location you're about to set, then select the Location tile/widget.

  8. Set the available location(s) for the alternate price.

  9. Select the Confirm button – the location will now be visible on the tile/widget.

  10. Click the Save button to apply your changes.
