How to Manage your Product Catalogue

Find out how you can update and delete brands, categories, and products, remove products from brands and categories, and download reports.

It’s quick and easy to manage all aspects of your product catalogue (brands, categories and products) and access insightful reporting through the Yoco App (mobile or web).

Select the relevant link below and find out how you can make changes to your:


1. Managing your brands

Edit brand details

  1. Log in to the Yoco App (mobile or web).

  2. Select the Manage tab.

  3. Select the Products tile/widget.

  4. Select the Brands widget/tile.

  5. Select the brand you'd like to edit from your list of brands. When the pop-up appears, select the pencil icon in the top right corner of your screen.

  6. When the Edit brand screen opens up, change the brand name and/or select the Brand thumbnail tile/widget to change how your brand displays in the Yoco App (mobile or web) and Yoco POS App.


Remove products from a brand

  1. Log in to the Yoco App (mobile or web).

  2. Select the Manage tab.

  3. Select the Products tile/widget.

  4. Select the Brands tile/widget.

  5. Select the brand you want to remove products from.

  6. When the pop-up appears, select the product you'd like to remove from the brand.

  7. Select the pencil icon button in the top right corner of the screen to edit the product details.

  8. When the Edit product screen opens up, select the X in the brand tile/widget to remove the product from the brand.

  9. Select the red Remove button to confirm that you'd like to remove the product from the brand.

  10. Select the blue Save button.


Delete a brand

  1. Log in to the Yoco App (mobile or web).

  2. Select the Manage tab.

  3. Select the Products tile/widget.

  4. Select the Brands tile/widget.

  5. Select the brand you'd like to delete and, when the pop-up appears, select the pencil icon in the top right corner of your screen.

  6. When the Edit brand screen opens up, select the Delete brand tile/widget (look for the red trash can).

  7. Confirm that you want to delete the brand.


2. Managing your categories

Change category details

  1. Log in to the Yoco App (mobile or web).

  2. Select the Manage tab.

  3. Select the Products tile/widget.

  4. Select the Categories widget/tile.

  5. Select the category you'd like to edit from your list of categories.

  6. When the pop-up appears, select the pencil icon in the top right corner of your screen.

  7. Whens the Edit category screen opens up, update the category name and/or select the Category thumbnail tile/widget to change how your brand displays in the Yoco App (mobile or web) and Yoco POS App.

  8. Select the Save button at the bottom of the screen to save your changes.


Remove products from a category

  1. Log in to the Yoco App (mobile or web).

  2. Select the Manage tab.

  3. Select the Products tile/widget.

  4. Select the Categories widget/tile.

  5. Select the category you want to remove your product(s) from.

  6. When the pop-up appears, select the product you'd like to remove from the category.

  7. Select the pencil icon button in the top right corner of the screen to edit the product details.

  8. When the Edit product screen opens up, select the X in the brand tile/widget to remove the product from the category.

  9. Select the red Remove button to confirm that you'd like to remove the product from the category.

  10. Select the blue Save button to save your changes.


Delete a category

  1. Log in to the Yoco App (mobile or web).

  2. Select the Manage tab.

  3. Select the Products tile/widget.

  4. Select the Categories widget/tile.

  5. Select the category you'd like to delete from the list.

  6. When the pop-up appears, select the pencil icon in the top right corner of your screen.

  7. When the Edit category screen opens up, select the Delete category tile/widget (look for the red trash can).

  8. Confirm that you want to delete the category.


3. Managing your products

Change product details (one at a time)

  1. Log in to the Yoco App (mobile or web).

  2. Select the Manage tab.

  3. Select the Products tile/widget.

  4. Select the product you'd like to edit from your list of products.

  5. When the pop-up appears, select the pencil icon in the top right corner of your screen.

  6. When the Edit product screen opens up, you can edit the product name, description, price, cost price, thumbnail, brand and/or category, stock features and variant information.

  7. Select the Save button to save your changes.


Change product details (in bulk)

  1. Log in to the Yoco App (mobile or web).

  2. Select the Manage tab.

  3. Select the Products tile/widget.

  4. Select the Export button in the top right corner of the screen.

  5. Choose CSV (for Google Sheets) or Excel (for Microsoft Excel) and select the blue Export button.

  6. Open the file in your preferred tool, make the updates to your products, and save your changes.

  7. Open the Yoco App (mobile or web).

  8. Select the Manage tab, then the Products tile/widget.

  9. Select the Import button near the top of the screen.

  10. Select the Upload button and locate the updated file on your device.

  11. When the file you've selected displays in the first field, select the blue Upload file button.

  12. A message will appear confirming that your file is valid and ready to be imported. Select the Confirm import button.

  13. A success message will display, confirming that your updates have been made. If the updates aren't reflecting, log out of the app, then back in again.


Delete products

  1. Log in to the Yoco App (mobile or web).

  2. Select the Manage tab.

  3. Select the Products tile/widget.

  4. Select the product you'd like to delete from your list of products.

  5. When the pop-up appears, select the pencil icon in the top right corner of your screen.

  6. When the Edit product screen opens up, scroll to the bottom of the page and select the Delete product button (look for the red trash can).

  7. Select the red Delete button to confirm that you want to delete the product.


Set product variants to unavailable

Out of stock of small black t-shirts? Or large tomato quiches? Set your product variants to unavailable on your point of sale system.

  1. Log in to the Yoco App (mobile or web).

  2. Select the Manage tab.

  3. Select the Products tile/widget.

  4. Select the product you'd like to set as unavailable from your list of products.

  5. When the pop-up appears, select the pencil icon in the top right corner of your screen.

  6. Scroll down to the bottom of the Product edit screen and select the Variants tile/widget.

  7. Select the unavailable variant from the list below Manage variants, to open the variant's details page.

  8. Switch the toggle next to Available to the ‘off’ position.

  9. When you see that the variant has changed to ‘unavailable’ in the Manage variants list, select the blue Done button.

  10. Select the Save button to save your changes.

Important: Don’t forget to change your product variant back to ‘available’ as soon as it’s back in stock!


4. Managing your reports

View and download your reports

  1. Log in to the Yoco App (mobile or web).

  2. Select the Manage tab.

  3. Select the Products tile/widget.

  4. Select the Product reports tile/widget.

  5. Select the Products, Categories, or Brands button to view a report. You can also filter the report by selecting one of the following buttons:

    • Today
    • Yesterday
    • This week
    • Last week
    • This month
    • Last month
    • Custom

  6. Choose the format you’d like to download your report in and select the blue Download button. If necessary, allow permission for the download on your device. The file will automatically be saved to your Downloads folder.
