Yoco Balance

Learn what your Yoco balance is, where you can check it, which fees and deductions affect it, and what impacts the amount you can access.

Your Yoco Balance shows the funds available in your account since your last payout. It's calculated by taking the total value of your transactions and subtracting any fees, refunds, chargebacks and repayments (if applicable). Understanding how your balance is calculated can help you keep track of your available funds and upcoming payouts.

To view your Yoco balance, select the Money tab in the Yoco App (mobile or web).

Then select the Payout History tile/widget to view your previous Yoco Payouts in detail.

What affects your Yoco balance?

Your Yoco Balance is updated throughout the day and reflects the funds available in your account. Several fees, deductions and adjustments can affect this balance and understanding these changes can help you keep track of your available funds and upcoming payouts.

Transaction fees

You pay a transaction fee every time you accept a payment online or with your Yoco card machine. Fees are charged as a percentage of each transaction (depending on which Yoco Plan you're on) and are deducted from your Yoco balance with each transaction.

Subscription fees

If you're on the Plus Plan or Pro Plan, you'll pay a monthly subscription fee which is deducted from your Yoco Balance at the beginning of each month.

Payout fees

Fast Payout and Instant Payout fees are deducted from your Yoco balance each time you choose to use them. Fees for these payout options depend on the Yoco Plan you're on. Fast Payout is free on the Pro Plan.

Instant Payout

Instant Payout gives you access to your money immediately. As soon as you request an Instant Payout, the amount you've requested will be deducted from your Yoco balance in the Money tab.

If you only request a portion of your Yoco balance as an Instant Payout, the rest of your balance will be processed at midnight and paid out according to the type of payout you've activated – Standard, Weekly, or Fast Payout.

💡 Good to know: If you know you're going to need access to cash early in the morning, request an Instant Payout before midnight – this will allow you to access more of your available balance.

Yoco Savings

If you've created a savings pocket to save towards your next business milestone, an agreed upon percentage will automatically be deducted from your daily sales and set aside in your pocket. This amount will be removed from your Yoco balance.

Yoco Capital

If you're repaying a Yoco Capital advance, an agreed upon percentage will automatically be deducted from your sales each day. This repayment amount will be removed from your Yoco balance.

Refunds

Refunds can take a little while to reflect in your Yoco balance because they depend on the processing times between banks. As soon as a refund has been processed, the refunded amount will be removed from your Yoco balance.

Chargebacks

A chargeback happens when a customer asks their bank to reverse a card payment due to reasons like fraud, a dispute, or a processing error. If a chargeback is raised against a sale made with your business, we'll notify you via the email address linked to your Yoco profile. Once the chargeback has been investigated and approved, the amount will reflect in your Yoco balance and be deducted from your next Yoco payout to repay the customer on your behalf.

Please note: Chargebacks can be raised up to 18 months after the original transaction.

💰 Not seeing your full Yoco balance in your payout? If there's a difference between your Yoco balance and your payout amount, it could be because one or more risky or flagged transactions are being responsibly processed for your protection. While these transactions are being processed, that portion of your balance won't be available for payout. Once cleared, the funds will be included in your next payout.
