Buying a Yoco card machine?

If you've just bought a second hand Yoco card machine, all you need to do is add your new card machine to your Yoco profile by following the steps below.

To start taking payments with your card machine, and get paid out by Yoco, you must have signed up with Yoco and completed your Yoco profile.

  1. Log in to the Yoco App (mobile or web).

  2. Go to the Settings tab – you'll find it at the bottom of the menu on the Yoco Web App, or in the top right corner of the Yoco Mobile App.

  3. Select the Card machines tile.

  4. Select the + Card machine button.

  5. Enter the card machine’s serial number and select Confirm.

  6. Your new card machine is now linked to your Yoco profile and you can start using it to accept payments for your business.

Not sure where to find the serial number?

  • Neo Touch, Khumo, Khumo Print, or Khumo Print 2
The serial number is printed on a white sticker on the back of the device.

  • Khumo 2
The serial number is printed inside the device (under the battery) as well as on the box the device comes in. Always check that the device is switched off before removing the back cover.

Important: The serial number appears in the format S/N XXXXXXXXXXX. Enter the numbers only when asked to provide your serial number.

Selling a Yoco card machine?

If you're selling a Yoco card machine, no action is required from your side once you've handed it over to the new owner. We'll simply send you an email (like the one below), the moment the new owner links the device to their Yoco profile.

Important: If you receive this email and you haven't sold your card machine, please contact Yoco Support immediately via our in-app chat or one of the links provided in the email.

Please note:

  • Yoco accepts no responsibility for the condition of card machines that are sold independently.

  • When a Yoco card machine is sold and transferred from the original owner to the new owner, the warranty on the device is voided.

  • Yoco Lite and Yoco Pro card machines are no longer supported by Yoco and we recommend that you avoid buying them second hand.

Switching to a new business profile?

If the structure of your business changes and you need to create a new Yoco profile as a different business type, e.g. you change from a sole proprietor to a (Pty) Ltd, you'll need to follow the same steps as the buyer to add your existing card machine to your new profile.

We'll also send you the same email as the seller once you've linked your card machine to your new profile.
