Whether you’re buying or selling a Yoco Neo Touch, Khumo or Khumo Print, you have a part to play in our two-step transfer of ownership process, which requires that the device be removed from the original owner's profile and added to the new owner's profile.
✨ Please note: Transfer of ownership is also necessary if the structure of your business changes and you’re required to create a new Yoco profile as a result of this change. In this case, you’ll be required to complete the steps for both the buyer and seller (outlined below) as you transfer your card machine from your existing Yoco profile to your new one.
1. Original owner removes the device from their profile
Log in to the Yoco App (mobile or web).
Go to your Business Settings by selecting your business name in the top right corner of your screen (mobile app) or from the menu on the left of your screen (web app).
Select the Card machines tile.
4. Select the card machine that you would like to transfer to the new owner.
5. Select the Remove card machine tile with the red bin icon – you’ll be asked to confirm that you want to delete the card machine before it is removed from your profile.
✨ Not sure which card machine you need to transfer? Match the serial number for the card machine you're selling (you'll find it on the back of the device in the format S/N XXXXXXXXXXX) with the serial number on your Card machines list.
2. New owner adds the card machine to their profile
✨ Please note: The original owner of the card machine must remove the device from their Yoco profile before the new owner can complete the Yoco sign-up process.
New owner already has a Yoco profile
Log in to the Yoco App (mobile or web).
Go to your Business Settings by selecting your business name in the top right corner of your screen (mobile app) or from the menu on the left of your screen (web app).
Select the Card machines tile.
4. Select the + Card machine button.
5. Enter the card machine’s serial number and click 'Confirm'.
New owner doesn't have a Yoco profile yet
Sign up to get paid with Yoco at hello.yoco.com or via the Yoco App (mobile or web).
Select option one, 'With my existing Yoco card machine', during the sign-up process. You'll be asked to enter the serial number, which you'll find on a sticker on the back of the device in the format: S/N XXXXXXXXXXX.
3. Once you’ve completed and verified your Yoco profile, follow steps 1–5 above.
✨ Important:
Only working card machines can be transferred.
Yoco accepts no responsibility for the condition of card machines that are sold independently.
When a Yoco card machine is sold and transferred from the seller to the buyer, the warranty on the device is voided.
Yoco Lite and Yoco Pro card machines are no longer supported by Yoco. For this reason, we recommend that you avoid buying them second hand.
