Why do you have a Business Profile and a Personal Profile?

Discover the difference between your business and personal profiles in the Yoco Web/Mobile app and learn how they can enhance your business.

When you sign up with Yoco (and before you can receive payouts into your Yoco account) it's necessary to set up a Yoco profile and provide your ID, bank account and business details for verification. The data you provide during this process is then stored in your business and personal profiles in the Yoco Mobile/Web App.

About your business profile

Your business profile has everything to do with setting up and running your business. It consists of business information that includes your business details, bank details, card machine details, and more.

To access your business profile, tap on your business name in the top right-hand corner of the Yoco Mobile App or click on it in the bottom left-hand corner of the Yoco Web App. Once you've selected your business profile, you’ll land on the Business settings page.

From the Business settings page, you can:

  • View your price plan and next payment date

  • Change your business details (logo, trading name and address, contact number, email address, VAT number, and social media handles)

  • Manage your communication preferences

  • Preview and customise your receipt details

  • Choose your tip settings

  • Choose which payment methods you accept

  • Manage your card machines (and buy new ones)

  • Refer a friend to Yoco

  • View and download your Yoco tax invoices

  • View all Yoco fees

  • Select your trading hours for reporting purposes

  • Get help via our in-app chat

  • Check the status of the Yoco platform


About your personal profile

Your personal profile is all about you, the business owner. It consists of personal information that includes your name, email address, phone number and Yoco password.

To access your personal profile, tap the initials icon in the top left-hand corner of the Yoco Mobile App or click on your name in the bottom left-hand corner of the Yoco Web App. Once you've selected your personal profile, you’ll land on the Personal settings page.

From the Personal settings page, you can:

  • Change your personal details (name, mobile number and email address)

  • Reset your password

  • Get help via our in-app chat

  • Browse our legal resources

  • Log out
