Need to update important business details so that your customers always have the right information at their fingertips? From the Business details tile/widget in your Business settings in the Yoco App (mobile or web), you can change your:

Updating your business details is always password protected.
Information may need to be verified before changes can be reflected.
Greyed out details require extra verification and can only be changed by contacting Yoco Support.
Changing basic business details
✨ All of the information saved under the Basic details section in the Business details tile/widget appears on your receipts and invoices.
Click on your business name in the bottom left corner of the Yoco Web App, or tap on it in the top right corner of the Yoco Mobile App.
Select the Business details tile/widget in your Business settings.
Select the Edit button next to the Basic details heading in the Business details tile/widget.
When the pop-up screen appears, make changes to one or more of the following:
Business logo
Trading name
Business contact number
Business email address
Website address
VAT number
Default tax – choose 15% if your business is VAT registered and 0% if it isn’t VAT registered.
Select the Save Changes button.
💡 Good to know: Having the correct VAT number is critical for you and your customers to claim VAT in terms of the Value Added Tax Act, so please check it carefully. Find out more about registering for VAT, and submitting returns here.
✨ Need to change your trading name? Please contact Yoco Support via our in-app chat and they will guide you through the verification process required to make this change.
Changing your trading address
Click on your business name in the bottom left corner of the Yoco Web App, or tap on it in the top right corner of the Yoco Mobile App.
Select the Business details tile/widget in your Business settings.
Select the pencil icon next to the Addresses heading.
Enter your new trading address.
Enter any additional address details, e.g. the name of the building, business park, floor, then select the Confirm address & continue button.
✨ Changing your trading address may require verification, and we may ask for supporting documents. In some circumstances, your transactions or payouts could be paused for a limited period while this is processed.
Changing your social media details
✨ Your social media information appears on the Yoco receipts you send your customers.
Click on your business name in the bottom left corner of the Yoco Web App, or tap on it in the top right corner of the Yoco Mobile App.
Select the Business details tile/widget in your Business settings.
Select the pencil icons next to Instagram, Facebook and X under the Social media heading to make changes to your social media information.
💡 Good to know: If you didn't add social media details while you were completing your Yoco profile, you'll see + (plus) signs instead of pencils next to the various social media platforms. Select these to add your social media information.
Make the changes to your social media information, then select the Save button.
👔 Business details FAQs
Where will my business logo be displayed? The logo you upload in the Business details tile/widget will be displayed on the Yoco receipts you send your customers after payment, your Yoco Invoices, your Payment Links, and your Payment Page.
Where will my social media information be displayed? The social media handles saved in the Business details tile/widget will be displayed on the Yoco receipts you send your customers after payment.
Will any of my business information appear on my Yoco receipts? The mobile number that appears in your Business details is automatically set to appear on your receipts. You can easily remove it by following these steps:
Select your business name to open your Business settings.
Select the Receipt settings tile.
Select the Edit button next to the Details heading.
Look for the phone number option and toggle the button to hide it on your receipts.
Save your changes.
Where will my VAT number be displayed? Your VAT number is displayed on the receipts and invoices you send to your customers. Please note: Your VAT number will only be displayed after you've added it in the Business details tile/widget. Click here for a step-by-step guide.
I incorrectly entered my VAT number. Are there legal consequences for invoices previously sent? A correct VAT number is important to allow you (and your customers) to claim VAT in terms of the Value Added Tax Act.
