All Yoco card machines come with a 1 year manufacturer warranty, which covers any manufacturing defects, starting from the day you receive your card machine.
Yoco card machines are security-sensitive electronic devices and must be treated with care. They must be looked after with the same care you would give any electrical device. They have also been designed to include tamper-proof technology for security purposes.
Yoco Card Machine Care Tips
Store your card machine in a cool, dry place and do not expose it to extreme temperatures. For example, don't leave your card machine in the sun for extended periods of time (or near anything that radiates heat, such as a stove or a motor).
Don't use the card machine in areas where there's high heat, dust, humidity, moisture, caustic chemicals or oils. For example, inside a restaurant kitchen.
Don't try to open the card machine (especially not with a screwdriver) as this will result in the machine going into an irreversible system tampered mode for security reasons.
Don't throw, drop, or stand on your card machine.
Try to keep your card machine as clean as possible:
Yoco card machines are not waterproof - please avoid any ingress of water or other liquids, especially when cleaning, to avoid damaging internal components.
Cleaning your Yoco card machine
The first thing you need to do is use a dry, soft cloth to wipe down your card machine.
Once your device is dust-free, use a damp soft cloth to clean it further. You can use a standard liquid soap in water for this step. Ensure that the cloth is damp, and not wet as too much water will damage your card machine.
If you have them, you can also use anti-bacterial wipes to clean your card machine more efficiently.
Let your card machine dry for a few minutes.
Wipe down your device regularly throughout the day.
IMPORTANT: Don't use bleach, solvents, detergents or abrasive cleaning liquids. Do not spray or pour any cleaning liquids directly onto the device. Avoid using excessive friction, which may result in damage to the keypad and device surface.
Electrical Considerations
Don't charge Yoco card machines during electrical storms.
Avoid locations near electrical appliances or other devices that cause excessive voltage fluctuations, or emit electrical noise. For example, air conditioners, electric motors, neon signs, high-frequency or magnetic security devices, or computer equipment.
Avoid charging your card machine overnight.
