1. Barcode scanner
The barcode scanner includes these features:
LED indicator for checking your connection and status.
Trigger button for scanning barcodes.
Scanner lens for reading barcodes.
2. Charging dock
Place your barcode scanner in the charging dock to make sure it’s ready to charge. For best results, keep your barcode scanner connected to a power source at all times.
✨ Looking for your barcode scanner’s serial number? You’ll find it on the bottom of the scanner and underneath the charging dock.
3. Charging cable & adapter
The barcode scanner comes with a USB to USB-C cable and a USB power adapter.
✨ Your barcode scanner battery lasts approximately 8 hours when it’s fully charged.
How to set up the barcode scanner
Follow the four steps below to get your barcode scanner up and running with Yoco Counter or a tablet (iOS or Android) running the Yoco POS App).
1. Add your scanner in the POS App
Log in to your Yoco Counter or the Yoco POS App on your tablet.
Tap the More tab from the menu on the left of your screen.
Tap the Barcode scanner button.
Tap the Add scanner button to connect your barcode scanner to your Yoco Counter or tablet running the Yoco POS App.
2. Plug the charging dock into a power source
Plug the USB cable into the charging dock and then into a power source – if you’re using your barcode scanner with Yoco Counter, you can plug the USB cable into one of its available ports.
Tap the Next button.
✨ If you're using your barcode scanner with Yoco Counter, plug one end of the USB to USB-C cable into the charging dock and the other into an available port on Yoco Counter. To locate the port, lift up your Yoco Counter and look underneath the base of the device as shown in the image below.
3. Place the scanner in the dock
Put your barcode scanner into the charging dock – you’ll hear a beep when it’s seated correctly, and a green light will confirm that the power is connected. If you see a flashing purple light on the barcode scanner, it means the device is in pairing mode. If you’re not seeing a flashing purple light, press the trigger to ‘wake it up’ and put it into pairing mode.
Tap the Next button.
4. Connect your barcode scanner
You’ll be prompted to switch Bluetooth on in your device settings.
❗ Important: To connect your barcode scanner via Bluetooth, follow the steps outlined below on your Yoco Counter or tablet running the Yoco POS App. Do not pair the scanner through your device’s standard Bluetooth settings. If you do, the scanner will connect, but will be unable to scan.
Select your barcode scanner from the list that appears in the Yoco POS App – use the last 4 digits of its serial number to identify it. You’ll find the serial number on the barcode scanner and underneath the charging dock.

Tap the Next button.
As soon as the pairing begins, a message will appear on your screen to track its progress.
Your barcode scanner is paired and ready to start scanning when:
You hear a beep.
The light on the barcode scanner turns blue.
The green light on the charging dock remains steady.
✨ Need to disconnect your barcode scanner?
Log in to Yoco Counter or your tablet running the Yoco POS App.
Select the More tab from the menu on the left of your screen.
Select the Barcode scanner button.
Locate the scanner you want to disconnect.
Tap the Forget scanner button.

How does the barcode scanner connect to my point of sale? The Yoco Barcode Scanner connects to your Yoco Counter (or any tablet running the Yoco POS App) via Bluetooth, and has a range of up to 15 m.
Where can I find my barcode scanner’s serial number? You’ll find the serial number printed on a sticker on the bottom of the scanner, and underneath the charging dock.
How long does the battery in the barcode scanner last? When the battery is fully charged, it lasts about 8 hours.
