What is the Yoco POS App?

The Yoco POS App is your ticket to simple payments, with platforms designed to make your life easier and run your business smoother. Part of that suite of solutions is our latest innovation in payments simplicity. A streamlined Point of Sale system, that focuses on optimising your checkout process with the features you need, where you need them.

What can I use the Yoco POS for in my business?

At the bottom of the screen, you'll find four tabs for easy navigation:

  1. Sell – This is where all the magic happens! Go here to start a new sale, and accept payment via your Yoco card machine or payment link.


  2. History – Here's where you'll see all your sales and can search for them easily to refund a customer, make a note or resend a receipt.

  3. Reports – This is where you can view your total sales by day, week or month with a breakdown of payment type, products sold, staff sales, and more.

  4. More – Access your device settings, manage your payment links and vouchers, get on-device help or lock your screen.


What can I use to manage my profile and business settings?

Build your Yoco profile and customise all your settings from the free Yoco Mobile/Web App:

  • Adding, editing and/or removing Products

  • Adding, editing and/or removing Brands & Categories

  • Adding, editing and managing Stock

  • Adding, editing and managing access for Staff profiles

  • Adding a list of your repeat Customers for Yoco Invoices

  • Buying Yoco card machines

  • Access to Yoco Capital

  • Access to Yoco Invoices

  • All Yoco Profile Settings: All your Business Settings and Personal Settings, such as your banking details, receipt settings, and Yoco balance will no longer be accessible on the Yoco POS.


How much will it cost to use the Yoco POS App?

It's totally free to download and use the basic features of the Yoco POS App. We may introduce more specialised features as part of paid packages in future.


Do I need to download the Yoco POS App?

Yes, but it's quick and simple!


Where can I download the Yoco POS App?

  1. Go here or, simply go into the App Store on your tablet, and search for 'Yoco POS'.

  2. Select the download button and allow the app permission to access your tablet.


How much data does the Yoco POS need to download?

To download the Mobile App and complete your profile, you'll need access to WiFi or no more than 250MB of data.


Which devices can I use to access/download the Yoco POS?

Minimum software requirements:

For iOS:

  • iPhone 6S (and above)

  • iPad 6th Generation (and above)


ForAndroid:

  • Android 12 (and above)

  • 800x480 screen resolution (and higher)

  • 3G/LTE internet connectivity

  • GPS

  • Bluetooth connectivity

  • 512MB RAM (or more)


Which Yoco card machines integrate with the Yoco POS?

The Yoco Neo Touch seamlessly integrates with the Yoco Mobile App as the perfect countertop solution for your business. The Yoco Go and Neo (Plus) card machines are able to integrate with the Yoco Mobile App via bluetooth. The Yoco Khumo card machines are standalone and do not process transactions by using the Yoco Mobile App (yet).


How do I know which Yoco App I'm using?

I've used the original Yoco Mobile POS App


If I’m using the original Yoco App as my POS, what’s different about the new Yoco POS App?

The latest Yoco POS App has been designed to streamline your checkout and sales workflows with Yoco. For this reason, we’ve kept (and refreshed) the selling features you know and love on the new Yoco POS, and cut out the clutter (and sensitive business details) of management functionality to be better centralised from the new Yoco Mobile/Web App.

These features will no longer be accessed via the Yoco POS, and will be available from the free Yoco Mobile/Web App:

  • Adding, editing and/or removing Products

  • Adding, editing and/or removing Brands & Categories

  • Adding, editing and managing Stock

  • Adding, editing and managing access for Staff profiles

  • Adding a list of your repeat Customers for Yoco Invoices

  • Buying Yoco card machines

  • Access to Yoco Capital

  • Access to Yoco Invoices

  • Yoco Profile Settings: All your Business Settings and Personal Settings, such as your banking details, receipt settings, and Yoco balance will no longer be accessible on the Yoco POS.

The newly released Yoco POS App will simplify and focus your selling, where it matters most.


If I’m using the original Yoco Mobile App as my POS, do I still need the (updated) Yoco Mobile App?

Yes and no. You can use the mobile app if you like, but if you’re not going to be performing any management tasks on the device with the original Yoco Mobile App you can also remove it. You can always still access all the same management and powerful reporting features on the Yoco Web App just as easily.


How do I use my Yoco Products catalogue across these new Apps?

Create and edit your catalogue on the Yoco Mobile/Web App, after which your updates will automatically (and immediately) be reflected on your Yoco POS App. When you create a new sale on the POS, you’ll get the option to add your products to the bill as per your categorisations.


Do I have to keep the original Yoco Mobile App on all my selling devices?

No, you don’t have to. Remember, the new Yoco Mobile/Web App is aimed at business owners, managers and administrators. You can always access the Web App online, but you can keep the Mobile App downloaded on any devices where management tasks may need to be performed.


Which Yoco App can I use if my staff members are struggling to log in to the new POS App?

To edit or manage staff profiles, use the Yoco Mobile/Web App to either reset staff PINs, or edit staff profile contact details (for those not receiving their password reset links).

Staff who are struggling to log in can also reset their own passwords by selecting “Forgot password” and following the prompts sent to their personal contact details.


What’s the best way to use the Yoco POS and App to cash up my staff at the end of a day or shift?

Using your staff filter for POS cash-up

Select the History tab at the bottom of your screen to see a breakdown of your sales by day and time, with a summary of total sales and tips for each day.

Here, you can filter your search by staff member, and/or device (which card machine the sale was made on), and/or date (range) to make it easy to view your tip and sales totals per staff member/shift.

If you have permission to access the Yoco Mobile/Web App and to view and manage all the business's combined Yoco sales, go to the Sales Tab here. Here, you'll get a breakdown of your sales by day (and time), with a summary of total sales and tips for each day.
