What’s the difference between the Neo Touch and the Yoco Go?

The Neo Touch can be used as a standalone device, which means that you don’t need a phone or tablet to take payments. The Neo Touch connects with 4G SIM cards, using unlimited data or WiFi, with your Sales History and access to Tools right on your card machine.

The Neo Touch can now also connect to Yoco POS using the cloud, if you wish. This means you can also get the benefit of smart features like Products and Staff Switching, without any having to worry about Bluetooth pairing.

The Yoco Go is a Bluetooth enabled device, without its own POS or SIM card - which means you'll need to connect it to your WiFi network, and link it with a smartphone/tablet running Yoco POS.

What is the difference between the Neo Touch and the Khumo?

The Neo Touch can be used either as a standalone (without connecting to a POS), or using cloud technology to process sales with a POS over WiFi. When used on its own, the Neo Touch has on-device sales history and tools like cash, tips and staff switching, but doesn't have products.

When using the cloud to connect your Neo Touch to a POS, it doesn't have on-device sales history or tools, but these features can be managed through your POS. Connecting to Yoco POS means access to all the bells and whistles, from product catalogues, to staff profile management and inventory. The Neo Touch can also connect to Loyverse, Lightspeed Restaurant K-Series or Retail X-Series POS, perfect for hospitality and retail businesses.

The Yoco Khumo (and Print) can only be used as a standalone (for now), which means it can't connect to Yoco POS or any of our integration partners, like Lightspeed. But, the Khumo card machines have a more sophisticated built-in POS allowing you to use on-device sales history, a catalogue of products, and staff switching functionality. These features are still managed through the Yoco POS and/or Portal here.

Swipe functionality is available on the Khumo, but not on the Neo Touch - which only offers Tap and Chip-and-PIN insert.

The Khumo uses a dual SIM to connect via MTN or Vodacom, whereas the Neo Touch only connects to one mobile network at a time.

Can the Neo Touch be worn with a lanyard?

No, the Neo Touch doesn't come with a lanyard, nor can its casing accommodate it.
