How the programme works
When someone signs up using your unique referral link:
They receive R100 off their card machine at checkout.
You receive R500 cash back once they meet the qualifying criteria.
To qualify for your reward, the business you referred must:
Have purchased their card machine in full via your referral link, and
Have processed at least R1000 in transactions.
💰 Your R500 reward is paid via EFT to your linked Yoco bank account on the next business day after the qualifying conditions are met. Please allow 24–48 hours for it to reflect.
💡 Good to know: There's no limit to the number of businesses you can refer. The more you share, the more you can earn.
Sharing your referral link
Go to your Business settings by selecting your business name in the top right corner of your screen (mobile app) or from the menu on the left of your screen (web app).
Select the Referrals tile.
Copy your referral link and share it via WhatsApp, email, social media, or wherever your network is most active.
You can also share your referral as a QR code by selecting the Referral QR code option. Once you've downloaded the QR code, you can use it wherever it works for you, e.g. in-store signage, business cards, and social media.

ℹ️ Please note: The referral programme is designed to help other business owners get set up with Yoco. It's not for active reselling. Our Terms and Conditions advise against sharing your referral code on Yoco-specific content like Yoco posts or ads online. You're welcome to share it on your own personal pages and profiles.
Tracking your referrals
There are two ways to keep track of your referrals.
→ Email notifications
A new referral alert is sent as soon as someone signs up and purchases a card machine using your referral link.
A reward notification is sent once your referral has processed enough transactions to qualify for the R500 payout.
→ Referrals dashboard
To see your full referral history and reward status at any time:
Go to your Business settings by selecting your business name in the top right corner of your screen (mobile app) or from the menu on the left of your screen (web app).
Select the Referrals tile.
View your referral history, status updates, and reward information.
💬 FAQs
Will I still get my referral reward if Yoco is running a promotion at the same time? Yes, you'll still receive your R500 referral reward. The business signing up via your link won't be able to stack discounts; they'll automatically receive whichever is the larger amount: up to R100 off via your referral link, or the current Yoco promotional discount.
I haven't received my reward. What should I do? Before getting in touch with us, run through these checks:
Did the business sign up using your referral link?
Have they completed their Yoco signup and are they an active merchant?
Have they paid for their card machine in full and processed at least R1000 in transactions?
If the answer to all three is yes, please contact Yoco Support for assistance.
