Whether you’re running a café, restaurant or takeaway spot, your menu is where your operations begin. With TABLE by YOCO, setting up a menu that works hard for your team and your customers is simple.
⭐ Top tip: Break your menu down into smaller, smarter sections
When you group products into bite-sized menus, you’re setting your staff, and your service, up for success.
Faster at the table Waiters can find what they need quickly, without scrolling through a long list. That means faster service and less friction, especially on a busy floor.
Fewer mistakes Clear sections like Food, Drinks, and Uber Eats, guide your team and reduce the chance of ordering errors or kitchen confusion.
Smoother flow No more jumping between menus mid-order. Everything’s neat, intuitive, and built to keep FOH and BOH in sync.
Adding a menu
Log in to your TABLE back office at table.yoco.com.
Hover over the Products tab in the navigation bar at the top of your screen.
When the sub-categories appear, select the Menus option.
Select the blue Create Menu button in the top right corner of your screen.
When the Create Menu screen opens up, you can:
Add a menu name, e.g. Food, Drinks, Uber Eats (required).
Add a menu description (optional).
Confirm the menu status, which is automatically set to ‘Menu is in use’. This feature is especially useful if your establishment has seasonal menus and you want to deactivate them during certain times of the year.
Choose the platforms you can view your menu on. POS and Mobile are the two platforms that currently apply for TABLE.
💡 Good idea: If you’re running a front of house promotion, create a separate menu that includes only the promotional items, and link it to the Mobile platform so that the menu is only visible on your Khumo devices.
Choose the sites using this menu. If you have have multiple sites, you can choose to make the menu available to some or all of them.
💡 Good idea: If one or more of your sites is Halaal or Vegan, for example, you could create a menu that includes products that are only available at that site, then allocate the menu to the relevant site(s) as outlined above.
Once you’ve added the menu details, select the green Save button in the top right corner of the screen.
The menu(s) you’ve added will now display on your POS software. If you’ve added multiple menus, they will appear as tabs along the bottom of your screen (as in the first image below). If you’ve only added one menu, the menu name won’t be displayed (as in the second image below).
