Depending on your business type, you may need to provide us with a bank confirmation letter once you’ve signed up with Yoco and are in the process of completing your Yoco profile so that you can start taking payments.
Bank confirmation letters are digitally certified, issued on an official letterhead, and include:
Date of issue.
Client's name and identity number/company name and company registration number.
Account details: account type, account number, branch name, and branch code.
Confirmation that the account exists and is active.
Details of when the account was opened (if applicable).
Downloading a bank confirmation letter
To download a bank confirmation letter, please follow the steps for your specific bank below. Once you've downloaded it, please upload it in the Yoco App (mobile or web).
Absa Bank
Absa Bank (App)
Log in to the Absa banking app.
Tap Menu, then select Documents → Bank confirmation letter.
Choose the account for which you require the letter.
Accept the verification prompt on your device.
Select the file format, then download the letter to your device.
Absa Bank (Website)
Log in to Absa Online Banking.
Navigate to the Accounts tab.
Choose the account for which you require the letter.
Select More → Documents → Bank confirmation letter.
Accept the verification request sent to your phone.
Select View, then download or print the PDF.

Capitec
Capitec (App)
Log in to the Capitec banking app.
Select the account you require a bank confirmation letter for.
Tap the three-dot menu icon in the top right corner.
Choose Send Account Details.
Select email and enter your details.
Confirm acceptance of the terms and select Send.
Capitec (Website)
Log in to Capitec online banking.
Select the account you require a bank confirmation letter for.
Select the three dots, then choose Send Account Details.
Choose to send the confirmation letter via email, and enter your details.
Select Send to action the request.

Discovery Bank
Discovery Bank (App)
Log in to the Discovery Bank mobile app.
Tap More (bottom-right).
Choose Other documents, then select Account Confirmation Letters.
Select the account for which you need a confirmation letter and download.
Discovery Bank (Website)
Log in to Discovery Bank online banking.
Navigate to the Accounts page.
Click on your account tile, then tap Account confirmation letter to download.

Log in to the FNB banking app.
Select Accounts on the Home tab.
Select the account you require a bank confirmation letter for.
Select the Account Options tab at the top of your screen.
Scroll down to Account Confirmation Letter.
Select the arrow icon to download the PDF to your device.
FNB (Website)
Log in to FNB online banking.
Select My Bank Accounts.
Select the account for which you need the confirmation letter.
Select Account to Verify → Settings → Bank Letters → Account Confirmation Letter.
Download or email the PDF.

Log into the Nedbank banking app.
Select the account for which you need a confirmation letter.
Swipe to the Features tab.
Select Share Account Information (or Share Proof of Account via Email).
Select email and enter your email address.
Select Send.
Nedbank (Website)
Log in to Nedbank online banking.
Go to Accounts and select the account for which you need a confirmation letter.
Navigate to Statements and Documents (or Account Details) under the Features section.
Click Share Proof of Account via Email, enter the recipient's email, and send.

Log in to the Standard Bank banking app.
Select the account for which you need a confirmation letter.
Scroll down to Your documents and tap View & Save.
Under the document list, locate Bank account confirmation letter.
Tap the three‑dot menu beside it, and choose to send it via email.

Log in to Standard Bank Online Banking.
Go to Transact → History & Documents, or select your account.
Navigate to Documents → Bank account confirmation letter.
Choose to email the document.
